The University of Hawai`i at Manoa is an internationally-recognized research university located in Honolulu, capital of the island state. Hawaii's ethnic diversity can be seen among the 20,000 students, 68 percent of whom are of Asian or Polynesian ancestry. Local food, customs, arts, and entertainment reflect the rich heritage of the multicultural population. Outdoor activities are encouraged by the beautiful beaches and year-round mild weather. The campus is 20 minutes by bus from Waikiki Beach and from Ala Moana Center, one of the world's largest shopping centers.
The location and population of Hawaii provide the University with unique resources. Noted fields of study are oceanography, astronomy, earth sciences, Pacific and Asian area studies and languages, Hawaiian studies, environmental sciences, biosystems engineering, comparative religion, Asian theatre, and ethnomusicolgy. 88 different undergraduate majors are offered.
UHM is NOT available for spring-only placements. Students may exchange for fall-only, fall and spring, and even attend our summer sessions at resident rate (although summer session is NOT a part of NSE).

This list is maintained by the host NSE coordinator and is kept up-to-date. All classes taken while on an NSE exchange will transfer back as LSU credit. The LSU NSE coordinator will work with you to determine course equivalencies.

Transcript required prior to placement if gpa for either of last two terms is less than 2.50.
