Program Description:

LSU at the Edinburgh Fringe Fest 2018

2018 promo shotThis unique program allows you to take part in the creation and production of an original work of physical theatre.  This is the program for students who want to perform, not just observe!

Prof. Erickson creates theatre using a fusion of dance, circus, video, and projection technology requiring the talents of many different student skill sets:

  • 2018 promowriters
  • actors
  • dancers
  • aerialists
  • film makers
  • stage managers
  • technicians
  • designers
  • arts administrators
  • those with marketing and communication skills
Past shows have interpreted Shakespeare, the Greeks, Dante's Inferno, the origin of the universe, and the intimacies of love.  This year, we will experiment with student writing to form the overall narrative structure with the theme of LOGOS.

Work with French choreographers on an original production based on student writing to be performed at LSU on July 12 and 13.

Then, travel to Paris for a week before heading on to Aurillac, France for three weeks to study at La Manufacture, a French dance school, before heading to Edinburgh, Scotland for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the largest arts festival in the world!
