The campus is in a beautiful, rural Pennsylvania Dutch community. The region is rich in history and its own brand of diversity, with the Pennsylvania German heritage as well as sizable populations of Hispanic and African American students. Located on 325 acres in Kutztown (population 5,000),the University is 20 miles from Reading and Allentown, 90 miles from Philadelphia, and 100 miles from New York City. ABE International Airport is 25 minutes from campus.
Kutztown University offers a well-rounded program of athletic, cultural, and social events and activities for close to 10,000 students. Recently completed projects include the renovation of Schaeffer Auditorium and the addition of a tailgating space and outdoor basketball courts near the residence halls.
