Granada Cathederal
Masters of Accountancy Study Abroad Nicaragua Trip

Nicaragua is home to a robust, emerging market. During your trip to this beautiful country, you will meet with the American Nicaraguan Chamber of Commerce, Deloitte Accounting Firm, PWC, land developers and local investment firms

Spending money: Although some meals are provided, you should plan for additional expenditures, including meals not covered by the program fee, snacks, souvenirs, and outings with friends.

Course Description
ACCT 7900 Special Studies in Accounting

In order to participate you must be enrolled in Acct 7900  for the spring semester. If you sign up for the field trip and later drop the Acct 7900 course, you may have to pay for part or all of the trip based on your withdrawal date.

Eligibility & Withdrawal

In order to be eligible for the program, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old by the first day of the program
  • Not be on disciplinary or scholastic probation
  • Be enrolled in ACCT 7900 for the spring semester 2018
Application Deadline
December 15, 2017

Although the application deadline is December 15, you are advised to register early in order to secure a spot in the program. The program will fill on a first come, first served basis from those who meet the eligibility requirements. 

Withdrawing: 
The amount that you will owe is based on the date on which you withdraw.  The schedule of payments is: Withdrawal after December 15, 2017:  $500 deposit is non-refundable; you are obligated to pay for any nonrefundable reservations the program has already paid, or is contractually obligated to pay, on the student's behalf. 

Please make note of this schedule! The later you withdraw from the program, the more you will have to pay (because the more we will have already paid on your behalf).  These payments will be added to your LSU billing statement at the time that you withdraw from the program.
 

Date Withdrawal Costs
Withdrawal after December 15, 2017 $500 non-refundable deposit will be paid.  Additionally, you will be assessed any expensess APA has already or is contractually obligated to pay on your behalf.


If you plan to withdraw, please contact Marissa Baham (mbaham4@lsu.edu) with Academic Programs Abroad. Please note that if this request must be made in writing and that the date of withdrawal is based on when APA receives your email or written withdrawal.
