Graphic Design in Beijing - ART 4030
Independent Study in Chinese Graphic Design
Have you always been intrigued by Chinese art and culture? Join Professor Richard Doubleday on a trip through the rich history of calligraphy, aesthetics of Chinese characters, symbolism, and the five elements of Chinese astrology.
Professor Doubleday will be spending part of his fall semester in China as part of the world famous Fulbright Scholars program and he would love to share this experience with you.
Students will have the opportunity to meet with Chinese students in a workshop for collaborative work. Both the Chinese and LSU students will attend a practical workship by Professor Doubleday focusing on modern design ideas and combining East and West.
This program is open to any student who has an interest in Chinese Arts and Culture. Professor Doubleday is focused on making this a cultural experience, one that encompasses humanity and art.
Space is limited. Sign up now to assure that you can be included. Priority will give to those who sign up early.
