Program Description:

West Virginia University

When you choose West Virginia University, you will become a member of a vibrant local community. Morgantown has been ranked as the #1 Small City in America, the "Best City in the East," and the "3rd Best Small Town in America". The city is located in the Appalachian Mounts on West Virginia's northern border. Nearby outdoor recreation opportunities abound. Within 10 minutes you can be water skiing in a lake, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, or camping in the forest. Within 30 minutes, you can be caving or whitewater rafting. Within an hour, you can be snow skiing on nearby slopes. WVU is one of only 43 public universities in the nation that serves both the research and land grant institutions in their state. Founded in 1867, WVU serves students from over 100 countries and nearly all 50 states. With nearly 200 majors there's something for everyone. A large student-centered school made small is personalized with faculty interested in students and over 300 student organizations.

Campus Location

West Virginia University is locate in Morgantown. It is a great college town about an hour south of Pittsburgh, PA and three hour west of Washington DC. It is located 5 miles from the PA border.

Helpful Information

At West Virginia University you'll enjoy a great academic experience and enjoy a wide variety of experiences ouside the classroom. You'll enjoy Big 12 sports and more than 300 student organizations. Great tutoring and friendly faculty and staff. If you are considering WVU for your exchange, please know that Plan B is the most difficult exchange to arrange. WVU is an even school. This means before a plan B student can be accepted, WVU must send out a Plan B student. Most WVU students use Plan A.
