Program Description:

UT ChattanoogaUniversity of Tennessee - Chattanooga

What makes coming to UTC and Chattanooga a great idea?

Chattanooga, Tennessee is still one the best mid-sized city in America with a growing metropolitan campus (UTC) that is interwoven into all that's happening in the city-from improving public schools to helping plan for new city landscapes, from participating in the art expansion going on in the city to providing student co-ops and interns for the new businesses-like Volkswagen and it subsidiaries who have just moved to town to produce a "new" American car. There's also boating-sail, motor, or kayak on the Tennessee River and its lakes, or you can travel about 35 miles away to whitewater raft or kayak the Ocoee River where the 1996 Olympic kayaking course is still up and flowing. If that's too difficult, you can float quietly down the Hiawassee River through some of the most beautiful countryside south of the Shenandoah Valley. Walk downtown from campus on the "8 mile river walk," or walk across the Walnut bridge.

Campus Location

Chattanooga, with its numerous natural resources, is located in southeast Tennessee easily accessible to Atlanta-120 miles, Nashville-120 miles, Knoxville-109 miles, the Smoky Mountains-145 miles.
